Based on the merit of the result of the Entrance Test- 2012, for B. Tech. (IInd year, lateral entry) course(s), conducted by this university, counseling for admissions in the IInd year (lateral entry) of B. Tech. (CSE/ ECE/ IE/ ME/ IT) courses will be held as per the following schedule:-
Reporting/ Counseling venue: University Science Instrumentation Centre (USIC), Chauras campus of the university.
Reporting/ Counseling date : 28-08-2012,
Reporting Time : 09.00- 11.00 hrs. (Candidates’ documents will be verified),
Counseling time : 13.00 hrs onwards.
General (Main) category candidates who scored 41 or more marks, and General (Woman) category
candidates who scored 38 or more marks, in the entrance test for the purpose; and all the candidates of the OBC, SC and ST category, whose result for the purpose has been declared by the university, may attend the counseling. Candidates are advised to ensure their presence in person for counseling. They have to bring the following documents/ testimonials for verification, at the time of reporting:-
1. Counseling Call Letter
2. High School Certificate as a proof of date of birth,
3. Mark sheets of qualifying examination- three year diploma or equivalent/ B. Sc.,
4. NCC/ NSS/ Sports/ Extra Curricular Certificates (if claiming for weightage),
5. Reservation Category Certificates for SC/ST/OBC/Defense Personnel or dependant/ PH/FF dependant,
issued by competent authority(ies), (OBC candidate is also required to bring the income certificate of
his/her parents, OR ‘Non- creamy layer’ certificate, from the competent authority. Only the castes
included in the Central Lists of SC/ST/OBCs, as modified from time to time and determined by the
Central Government, will be considered for reservation benefit),
6. Gap Year Affidavit (if applicable).
7. Bio-data (essentially containing Name, Father’s/Mother’s name, date of birth, address for
correspondence, contact phone number, e-mail ID, qualifications, etc.) with a set of attested copies of
the relevant documents.
Counseling for admission in these courses will be based on the rank of the entrance test conducted by
the university. Also the eligibility for the admission in the IInd year (lateral entry) of B. Tech. courses
is 3 year diploma or equivalent (with at least 60% marks) / B.Sc. (with at least 60% marks) with Mathematics.
